We were awarded a 3 year contract to build the SurfNET video portal, at that time the first centrally organized system to manage and publish video in higher education in the Netherlands.

For the Dutch Film and TV Academy, we built a Video Based E-learning system covering the complete multimedia workflow, management and multimedia e-learning environment.

Together with the Digital University we built a video learning system called DIVIDU. It was used for over 5 years by more than 40.000 students from different educational institutions in the Netherlands.

We became partners in the European multimedia project MESH, an FP6 program aimed at the application of multimedia analysis and the production of advanced personalized multimedia summaries.

We won the 3 year contract to conduct the 'Levende Herinneringen' project, that records valuable memories of the ways in which Dutch and Indonesian cultures became intertwined during the colonization period.

In line with the growing need for online users to identify and use specific fragments of an online video collection, we developed a generic tagging tool for labeling specific video fragments.

We started providing WebTV services to Kluwer for use in 'Creatie', a platform containing a database with marketing campaigns.

For Rabobank, we developed a knowledge sharing platform with recordings of several internal dissemination sessions covering the use of new media in customer relations.

Noterik introduced MyVidayo, a platform for the creation of personalized videos.

For the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam, we developed a WebTV system that facilitates the process of annotating more than 2000 interviews of the Shoah collection.

In 2009 we sponsored the Hacking at Random conference by webcasting their key speakers, which included Julian Assange presenting his Wikileaks platform (at that time still being able to go where he wanted).

We delivered the first version of our online video editing tool. This tool allows for basic trimming, cutting and playlist creation of online video material.

We started our long-term cooperation with 'Schouten en Nelissen', delivering the WebTV services that are used within their E-Learning system MijnSN.

In 2011 we became the WebTV provider for the 'LinkedTV' research project. The project focuses on the way materials sourced from the Internet can be used for the enrichment of Television.

We finalized the first version of our Story Telling Tool. This tool is used within the EUscreen project and is shortlisted for the FIAT/IFTA 2013 awards in the category 'best reuse of archives'.

We provide DANS with WebTV services such as access to specific parts of videos (Conditional Acces Streaming), Screenshot Extraction, Time-based Filesystem and advanced search API.

After many years on Prins Hendrikkade, Noterik moves to... Prins Hendrikkade. 500m further towards Nemo in a monumental building with roots in Dutch shipping history. The first stone of the building was placed on May 4th in 1878 by His Majesty King William III.

Noterik presented the new version responsive version of the EUscreen portal. The portal became HTML5 ready so the media from several European broadcasters and audiovisual archives in Europe now also works on tablets and phones.

For the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands, we released a system that supports an automatic workflow of both video and measurement data into a synchronised visualisation that can be viewed directly after testing, done from a computer within the institute.

After four years of hard work, the LinkedTV project that Noterik proudly partcipated in was concluded with a review by the European Commission that resulted in an 'excellent' rating for the project.

At the Photography Hackathon in Leuven we used QANDR (our new multiscreen tool that spices up presentations by allowing an audience to interact with the main screen using their mobile phones) to develop a prototype for an educational application.

Our multiscreen user engagement product QANDR matured, allowing it to be used in actual courses at MODUL university in Vienna.

More than just a presentation tool, QANDR proved to be well suited to focus group meetings in qualitative research. It allows the moderator to accommodate a wider range of opinions and makes proceedings more playful. People are more evenly given a chance to speak.

The large three year Europeana Space project was assessed by EC reviewers as 'exceeding expectations'. Not in the least due to the massive effort by Noterik in the last six months of the project to create a cross-disicpline app: the Popup Museum.
