SURFNET - VIDEO PORTAL

We were awarded a 3 year contract to build the SurfNET video portal, at that time the first centrally organized system to manage and publish video in higher education in the Netherlands.

BIRTH OF TV - VIDEO PORTAL

We were the technical partner in the 'Birth of TV' project, a 3 year European Commission initiative to create an online knowledge database on the history of European Television.

BESTUURONLINE - WEBCAST SERVICE

We developed a webcasting service for the broadcasting of governance meetings. BestuurOnline has been awarded the Europrix.nl category prize 2004 "Citizens, E-government and Democracy".

MANAGENERGY - WEBCAST SERVICE

We won a 3 years contract for the webcasting of 21 congresses on sustainable energy in different member states of the European Union. The contract was awarded by Managenergy, a department of the European Commission.

For the Dutch Film and TV Academy, we built a Video Based E-learning system covering the complete multimedia workflow, management and multimedia e-learning environment.

VIDEO ACTIVE - VIDEO PORTAL

We delivered the WebTV services for the Video Active video portal, a 3 year project focusing on publishing the early archives of the national TV broadcasters in the different European member states.

DIVIDU - VIDEO LEARNING SYSTEM

Together with the Digital University we built a video learning system called DIVIDU. It was used for over 5 years by more than 40.000 students from different educational institutions in the Netherlands.

SPRINGFIELD - WEBTV FRAMEWORK

2006 heralded the first release of Springfield. Springfield is an open-source WebTV framework that still is at the core of all our current project implementations.

We became partners in the European multimedia project MESH, an FP6 program aimed at the application of multimedia analysis and the production of advanced personalized multimedia summaries.

SPIELBERG SHOAH SURVIVORS - ORAL HISTORY

For the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam, we developed a WebTV system that facilitates the process of annotating more than 2000 interviews of the Shoah collection.

EUSCREEN - VIDEO PORTAL

HACKING AT RANDOM - WEBTV SERVICE

After many years on Prins Hendrikkade, Noterik moves to... Prins Hendrikkade. 500m further towards Nemo in a monumental building with roots in Dutch shipping history. The first stone of the building was placed on May 4th in 1878 by His Majesty King William III.

We partnered up with Impact to develop a prototype of an E-Coaching system, an innovative methodology directed at changing the behaviour of juvenile offenders. It uses an advanced system to send automated text and video messages to their mobile phones.

EUSCREEN - MOBILE WEBTV

VISUALISING COMPLEX DATA AND VIDEO STREAMS

For the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands, we released a system that supports an automatic workflow of both video and measurement data into a synchronised visualisation that can be viewed directly after testing, done from a computer within the institute.

CREATE YOUR OWN EUSCREEN COLLECTION

For the EUscreen portal, featuring over 60.000 film and television clips, photos, audio recordings and documents from archives across Europe, Noterik developed 'MyEUscreen', allowing users to bookmark their favourite EUscreen items and create their own publications.

MUPOP - FROM DIGITAL TO PHYSICAL

The latest incarnation of our multiscreen technology, MuPop (the Popup Museum) was used in two installations. The Sound & Vision exhibition in Hilversum focussed on fashion, whereas in Leuven two photographic Belle Epoque exhibitions were shown.

More than just a presentation tool, QANDR proved to be well suited to focus group meetings in qualitative research. It allows the moderator to accommodate a wider range of opinions and makes proceedings more playful. People are more evenly given a chance to speak.

E-SPACE EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS

The large three year Europeana Space project was assessed by EC reviewers as 'exceeding expectations'. Not in the least due to the massive effort by Noterik in the last six months of the project to create a cross-disicpline app: the Popup Museum.
