October 2004SURFnet is the national computer network for higher education and research in the Netherlands, and provides Internet services to 150 organizations and 50.000 users. In 2003 Noterik build the SURFnet Video portal to enable a centralized management and delivery system for streaming media. At that time we supported the MPEG-2, MPEG-1, Real Video, Quicktime and Windows Media video formats.
